First 3 places

1st Place: Sarkar: Glass- in construction, in screens, in networking

Jury Statement: “We awarded this idea with the first prize since we believe that it constitutes a high potential use case and can be applied in a variety of industries. We are excited to start a deeper examination on this specific topic.”

2nd Place: Janosch Krauss: Dental treatment of the future

Jury Statement: “We liked the idea since it is out-of-the box and even though our technology isn’t there yet, we believe that this might be a promising use case in the future. We will analyze how and when our technology could be applied to the medical/dental field.”

3rd Place: Sumit Goski: Railway transport maintenance

Jury Statement: “We believe that railway transport maintenance is a field in which our technology is beneficial and therefore we will take a closer look into how exactly we might be able to implement our technology in this industry.”

The Prizes are an exclusive workshop at Fraunhofer Venture

  • Develop your application area further with the HAI-QC team
  • Gain insight into Europe’s biggest tech transfer program, including participation in workshops (exact program varies depending on the chosen date: e.g. product design, business model innovation, high impact teams) and an evening keynote or fireside chat with an experienced entrepreneur
  • Get an early look into high-tech innovation and upcoming companies: Network with 40+ other spinoff and licensing teams from Fraunhofer as well as external guests (investors, corporates, entrepreneurs)
  • Date: 10./11.12.2019 (other dates possible, tbd. once challenge ends)
  • Travel expenses within Europe & accommodation covered
